Reading Art - Part Two
Symmetry: This photograph is very semetrical because if you draw a line in between the tow lions then each side has the same amount of weight.
Chariscuro: The Chariscuro in this photograph takes place between the lions and the background. The faces of the lions are very light and the background is dark. I think the photographer did this on purpose so that the lions stand out.
Motif/Repetition: I think the repetition in this painting is the branches of the grass. The branches are on the bottom of the picture and on the top to the photo.
Movement: When I look at this painting my eyes are directed to the lions faces, then their eyes. My eyes also fall on the grass and on their noses.
Foreground/Middle-ground/Background: Th foreground of this background is the grass in the front of the lions. The middle-ground is the Lions and the background is the other grass in the back of the lions.
