Reflection
I think that the propaganda poster project was very successful for me. In the beginning it was hard for me to narrow down a poster idea (look at first drafts at the top of the page). I started off with three different ideas, but I wasn't happy with any of them because they did not really fit with the Russian Revolution propaganda poster styles. I selected the first poster and revised it to have more block letters and crisp lines, which are common in propaganda posters. For my last revision, I filled the empty space in the middle of the poster with background text. For my actual poster, the first thing I did was paint the background colors, blue, light blue, and green. Then I printed out the letters and carefully cut around them. I glued them in place with a clear paper sealer. Next I projected the bird silhouette and traced around it. I painted it in with black and touched up some of letters as well. I ended up finishing my propaganda poster early, so I worked on an extra poster promoting rats (below). I am very proud of how my final poster turned out, so I think I deserve an A on this project. I am proud that I was able to manage my time well and complete my propaganda poster as well as my extra rat poster all on time. Overall, this was a very fun project and I learned a lot about painting techniques that help hide brush strokes.
