Lines That Define
Overview: This project was to create a digital line drawing of a picture we took ourselves. In order to do this we had to enter by hand, all the points of the line into Excel, and find the slopes and equations for each line. In this project I learned time management, and real life skills of how important it is to be precise and enter each point exactly right, or else the picture looks wrong.
Procedure: The first step in this project was to take or find a picture of something that we are close to. I chose to do a picture of my pet mouse Poppy. Then we put a Photoshop filter on our picture to make the lines more clear. Then we traced or drawing using only straight lines onto graph paper. Then we entered all of our lines, mine had over 200, on to Excel. Then we selected our data and made a line graph with the points. Then we found the slope, y-intercept, and equations for each line. After our peer critique, we created our final graph.
Final Result:

Reflection: I think this was a relatively easy project, other than the long amount of time it took me to enter all 200 points into excel. I also think it would have been helpful if Dr. Drew would have been more specific with each bench mark because I was confused. But overall, I think my final drawing turned out nicely, and I think the peer critique was helpful.
